Our Mission Statement

Our mission is expressed in two passages of Scripture:

Matthew 28:18–20 : Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Our Vision: “To Bring Hope as we love and serve our community, known as followers of Jesus as we work to grow his church ….”

Our Vision explored:

Bringing hope as we love and serve. This will be both a church wide activity and an individual/family action. We believe that our world needs to see us going to them rather than just expecting that they will come to us. We hope to do this through actions of love and service. Our goal will be to both plan and respond. Church wide plans of adopting a sports team, of providing a low cost day care, of having a gym where community teams can use and build relationships with us, plans of influencing our community on key issues and on and on the options go. Responding when tragedy hits our community. Individually each person and family will be encouraged to love and serve their neighbors, co-workers, fellow students, friends and relatives.

Known as Jesus followers is another way of saying we desire to grow real disciples of Christ, not simply people filled with knowledge and cloistered from the world but rather in the world but not of the world people. We will train, educate, encourage, challenge and love one another so we can be authentic followers of Jesus. We will do this through our 5 core classes (Core classes= New Believers Class, Foundations, Shape, Membership, Evangelism), corporate worship, ongoing education, small groups and ministry/service.

Expanding his church: We believe growth is an the normal response to a healthy church doing what God has asked of us. We hope to expand in three ways, one numerical growth of new believers, transfer growth of those who move into the community or have been church goers in the past. Two, by planting churches in communities near us. Three, through our missions trips and missionaries around the world.
